Sister Berthe writes about the transfer to sister Marie Louise

Zuster Berthe Mukarurangwa en zuster Marie Louise Niyonsenga

Sister Berthe, who led the sister community in Rwanda for 11 years, writes as a result of the transfer to sister Marie Louise said the following:

Since January 1, 2021, the sister community “Abaja ba Kristo” has a new management team led by Sr. Marie Louise Niyonsenga. She was elected by the General Assembly of Sisters as the responsible and official representative of the community. Sr. Domitille Uwiragiye was elected her deputy.

I thank our Lord for all that I have been able to do in the past 11 years, along with the sisters and the pastor. It was not easy after the death of Sr. Anke Slagmolen, to take over her task, but God gave strength and wisdom!

I thank all the friends of the community for their support in many ways, and I ask that you continue to pray for the sisters and for the new team so that the community can fulfil its purpose.

Good health to all of you and warm greetings from the whole community!

Sr. Berthe Mukarurangwa

Domithille Uwiragiye, vice chair of the Community of Deaconesses
