Hunger due to Lockdown

Since mid-March, the lockdown also applies in Rwanda. Fortunately, the deaconesses have been spared infections until now. Unfortunately, they are confronted with the consequences of the crisis: the fact that many people can’t work also means that they have no income, which results in poverty and hunger. An emergency fund was set up by the foundation Friends of Sisters in Rwanda, which the deaconesses can use when it is really necessary. Many people in urgent need of help knock on the door of the deaconesses.

The schools will remain closed until September, which means that the children and young people will lag far behind because digital education in Rwanda is only very limited and most families do not have internet.

Due to the lockdown which is also maintained in Rwanda, many people no longer have an income and there is hunger! This is also the case with the families and the employees of the sisters. Do you want to help?
You can make a donation to account number: NL 07 RABO 0155769707 in the name of Stichting Vrienden van Zusters in Rwanda, stating: Emergency aid.

Thanks!
