On Saturday 25 April 2026, we’re hosting a Rwanda Day at the Bethanië Community Centre, Allemanswaard 2, 3958 KA in Amerongen, with the theme:
BUILDING THE FUTURE
We warmly invite you to join us for the day!
Coffee will be served at 10.30 am and the programme will start at 11.00 am, lasting until 3.00 pm.
It promises to be a fascinating event, in which you will be taken on a journey to the Abaja ba Kristo sisters’ community in Rubengera, Rwanda, through short films, interviews and stories. There, they are literally and figuratively building the future!
Sr. Marie-Louise, the head of the sister community, will be present and hopes to meet many of you! Naturally, she will bring the latest news from Rwanda. The board of the Friends of Sisters in Rwanda Foundation will provide information, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions, for example about the projects you support or the children who have been financially adopted.
Around midday, there will be a meal featuring Rwandan snacks, amongst other things. You will also be able to visit the stands with creative gifts and Rwandan items, including the beautiful handmade cards and necklaces from the sisters’ workshop.
Participation in the day is free, but donations are of course very welcome!
